Soaked it in the creek before our climb and my girl stayed noticeably calmer through the steep switchbacks—the cooling really did seem to help on that hot afternoon. The fabric dried fast, too, so it wasn't dripping all over the car on the drive home.

Tied this around my dog's neck before a hot afternoon loop and she actually seemed more comfortable once we got going—the soak-and-tie method is foolproof, and it stayed damp for a good stretch of the trail. Summit photo with it on came out pretty cute too.
