Soaked it for a minute before our afternoon walk and the dog actually stopped panting halfway through—the cooling effect lasts longer than I expected for something so lightweight. Tied easily around her neck and she didn't even try to shake it off, which says a lot.

First hike with this and our pup actually wanted to keep moving past the halfway point. Soaking it takes ten seconds and it stayed damp against her neck for a good couple of miles. Summit selfie with a slightly cooler, happier dog is a solid win.

Soaked it for a minute and tied it around my pup before our afternoon hike—the water stays cool for a good while and he definitely seemed less panty on the steeper sections. Only reason for four stars is the knot came loose a couple times, but once I double-tied it, it held fine.
