Our trail pup runs hot even in the shade, so I grabbed this bandana to test it on a rocky ascent. After a quick soak in the creek, she was noticeably more comfortable for the last mile, though it did drip on my shoes a bit.
Soaked it for a few minutes in a stream and tied it on my dog before a summit push—he stayed noticeably cooler through the switchbacks, and it dried out fast on the way down.
Soaked it for a minute and it stayed cool for a good chunk of our hike, and my pup actually kept it on without fussing. Perfect for the hot afternoons when he starts panting early.
