My pup's tongue was practically dragging on the ground after a steep climb, so I soaked this and tied it on—within ten minutes he was panting way less and actually trotted ahead of me for the summit photo. My dog gets way too hot on afternoon hikes, but this bandana actually helped him keep his cool while we stopped for a summit selfie. Soaked it in a stream, tied it on, and he was noticeably more comfortable for the rest of the trail.

The soak-and-tie ritual takes about ten seconds, and once it’s on, my pup actually seems more eager to keep hiking in the heat. The cooling effect lasts a good while and it makes for a cute summit shot too.
