Juniper Bandana

Juniper Bandana - Main image
$9 $18 In stock

These cooling bandanas are great for summit selfies and keeping your dog a bit cooler on the trail. Just soak it in water before tying it around your pup's neck to bring down the body temp a bit. You must use your best human judgment, of course - bring plenty of water, and if it's too hot out for your dog, leave them at home!

Pro tip - make sure to tie a square knot, rather than a granny knot, to keep the bandana tight.

  • Measures 18” x 18” x 30"
  • Soft, polyester mesh material
  • Lightweight & quick drying

Tied this around my pup before a hot afternoon hike and the difference was noticeable—she stopped panting as hard after about ten minutes. The soak-and-tie method is dead simple, and it stayed damp long enough for our two-mile loop to feel worthwhile. Even got a decent summit selfie with her wearing

Soaked it for a minute before our morning trail loop and my dog actually stopped panting by the second mile—that alone sold me. The fabric feels sturdy enough to survive a few seasons of creek dips too, which is more than I can say for other bandanas we've tried.

Soaked it for maybe ten seconds before our morning hike and my dog was noticeably less droopy by the time we hit the summit. It’s light enough that she forgot she was even wearing it, and the selfie without a panting tongue was a nice bonus.
