My dog actually slowed down to enjoy the trail instead of panting the whole way—tied this around his neck after a stream soak and it stayed cool for a good hour. The fabric is light enough that he forgot it was there, which never happens with his old gear.

The water-soak trick actually works—my dog was panting way less after we tied it around her neck mid-hike, and she didn't try to shake it off once. Perfect for a quick summit break photo too.

Soaked it for a minute before our afternoon hike and the fabric stayed cool against her neck for a good hour, plus it didn’t drip all over the car on the way home. She seems noticeably less panty at the summit selfie spot, which is a win in my book.
