Took this on a long afternoon hike and the cooling effect actually lasted through the first couple miles, which surprised me. My pup kept trying to steal the soaked bandana for herself, so that says something. Makes for a cute summit photo too, with the pattern standing out against the rocks.

Soaked mine in the sink before a hot afternoon hike and it stayed cool for a good couple of hours around her neck. She didn’t try to shake it off once, and the summit photo with it draped over her looks ridiculously cute.

Dunking it in the creek took seconds, and the cooling effect actually lasted a good stretch of our switchback climb. He was noticeably more comfortable during the summit push, and the bandana stayed put even when he shook his head.
