We tied it around my dog’s neck after a splash in the creek, and she actually kept it on for the whole summit—no shaking it off. The fabric soaked up water fast and stayed damp for a couple hours, which made the final stretch feel a bit more comfortable for her. Took a great selfie with it, too.

The soak-and-wrap trick is so simple it feels like cheating, and the fabric stays damp on our hikes for a couple of hours. My pup actually gets excited when I pull it out now, which says everything about how much it helps on warm afternoons.

Soaked it for about a minute before our hike and the topo pattern looked awesome in the summit photos while my pup stayed noticeably cooler around the neck. It’s been through the wash twice now and the design hasn’t faded at all, which I didn’t expect.
