My pup actually let me tie this around her neck without a fight, which says everything. The soak-and-tie method is foolproof and it kept her comfortable during our whole switchback climb.
Soaked it in the lake before our afternoon hike and my pup actually seemed comfortable the whole way back down, not just panting in the shade. The fabric stayed cool for a good hour past what I expected.
We did the whole Tahoe loop with this tied around our pup’s neck, and he was noticeably more comfortable on the steeper stretches. The soak-and-tie method is simple, and it stayed damp for a good chunk of the hike.
