The rope weave is tight enough that I don't worry about fraying when my pup dives into brush, and the hardware has held up through muddy creek crossings without a single rust spot. He's a puller, but the collar hasn’t stretched or loosened one bit in three months of daily hikes.
My reactive shepherd tried to yank me off my feet on a trail this morning and the hardware didn't budge, not even a creak. It's also way lighter than the leather collar he used to wear, which makes a big difference on our longer hikes.
The climbing rope material feels seriously tough, and the hardware seems like it won't give out anytime soon. It's a bit stiff for my liking at first, but I imagine it'll soften up as my dog wears it around.
