My dog gets way too hot on afternoon hikes, but this bandana actually helped him keep his cool while we stopped for a summit selfie. Soaked it in a stream, tied it on, and he was noticeably more comfortable for the rest of the trail.

The soak-and-tie ritual takes about ten seconds, and once it’s on, my pup actually seems more eager to keep hiking in the heat. The cooling effect lasts a good while and it makes for a cute summit shot too.
